Question: John the apostle told Jesus there was one casting out devils in thy name and he followeth not us and we forbad for him because he followeth not us. Jesus said, Forbid him not, etc. (Mark 9:38). Does this mean that this man was not Apostolic (a follower of the apostles' doctrine) or just wasn't following the apostles? Jesus said if they are not against us they are on our side. Is this why the gifts work in non-apostolic churches and signs etc., because they follow Jesus? If so, why are we so divided as the body. We have one leg here, one over there etc. Are the only people going to heaven apostolics and if you are baptised in the titles will that send you to hell? What about the people who the Spirit has not revealed the truth to? The Spirit will reveal all truth, not man. Just trying to cover my bases when asked these questions by non-apostolics. Thank You, Ken Carroll

Answer: Why would the Holy Spirit not reveal all truth to a person? There is only one reason: the person is not willing to be led into all truth. When a person does not understand the truth, this is merely an indication of a lack of submission to Jesus Christ as Lord. He is no respecter of persons, which means He does not play favorites. When a person submits and is willing to be led, the Spirit will always lead, regardless of who that person is.

To be saved and receive everlasting life, a person must be born again by obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ and then must live a life of total commitment to Jesus as Lord.
