Question: I have heard it said that the Gnostic Gospels are the same as the Oneness belief. Is this true. This is in reference to the Logos.

Answer: We do not believe that this is true. In general, the Gnostics believed that the Logos was an independent divine entity serving as an intermediary between the remote and unreachable God and corrupt man. It was this idea, prmoted by Justin Martyr, that eventually gave rise to the doctrine of the Trinity (three Persons in one God).
