Armageddon means the Mount of Megiddo in Hebrew (Har Megiddo). This is located in northern Israel near the Jezreel Valley, also known as the Valley of Megiddo. If you every visit Israel, you can see the ruins of the ancient city of Megiddo. This location seems to be the specifically designated area where this great battle will take place. Interestingly, this is also where the first great battle for world domination took place when the Egyptians moved northward in a failed attempt to expand their territory in the second century B.C. The Battle of Armageddon will take place around the time of the second coming of Jesus Christ.
