Question: I was going to an elders' meeting and was going to tell them I did not think they were doing their job. Am I being judgmental?

Answer: We cannot say whether you are being judgmental. To tell a group of men that they are not doing their job is not necessarily judgmental. But the very fact that you asked us about it indicates that you may have some judgmental attitudes in your heart. We suggest you deal with those ungodly attitudes before you approach the elders. You may also want to consider consulting with someone who knows you well and is also familiar with the work of the elders. If the elders are truly not doing their job, then it would be far better if two or three men approached them together.
