Question: Is the term 'interface' a biblical term? Could you further explain the term in Biblical context? It says that eldership will provide an interface for the local assembly.

Answer: The word 'interface' means a connecting point. It is not in the Bible. We use the word to describe one of the roles of the elders of an assembly. As leaders, they represent the leadership qualities of Jesus to the people. They are not the only interface, but they are an important and highly visible one. Our purpose in using this term is to point to the importance of all leaders following the leadership style of Jesus. We are to lead, not by our words only, but also by living as an example before the people.
