Question:	John 14:2 says, 'In my Father's house are many dwelling places, it it were not, I would have told you, for I go to prepare a place for you.' There are couple of references in Revelation also like gold, etc. Can we take these references in the literal meaning?

Answer:	The new heaven and new earth will the merger of the temporal with the eternal. From that perspective, the answer to your question is yes.
