Question: I work in an assisted living care center. I am able to wear skirts to work. But we have been told that we are changing over to a nursing home. This will mean that we are going to have to wear nursing uniforms, and that our work will involve more personal care. Bending, and lifting of residents. My question is, would I be disobediant to the word of God if I wore uniform pants at work. I would wear my skirt to and from work but would be in uniform during my shift at work. Thanks and God bless.

Answer: My wife has worked as an RN for nearly 30 years. She has worked in a hospital, a trauma unit, a nursing home, and in home care. For that entire time she has always worn a shirt at work. She simply tells her boss that it is a religious conviction and no one has ever given her a hard time. This is our recommendation.
