Question: I have been married four times. I received the Holy Ghost at the age of fifteen. I left the church at the age of eighteen. I was told my first husband is my legal one and even though we are divorced, I still need to divorce my present husband to be right in God's eyes. In other words, I am a adulteress. None of my husband's ever received the Holy Ghost. Am I bound by vow to my first husband and am I really an adulteress? I want to give my life back to God. I am willing to believe the truth. I just need to know scriptures. I have lost touch with my church. I do want to make it to heaven and I am willing to do what I need to do.

Answer: Two wrongs don't make a right. Perpetuating this cycle of divorce and remarriage by initiating yet another divorce hardly seems like a solution to anything. The first thing you need to do is find a solid local assembly that holds fast to the apostles' doctrine. Once you restore yourself to a right relationship with Jesus, then you will be in a better position to know what He wants you to do.
