Question: About this post, I would just like to ask about when to mark a brother? Is it when he is teaching that we are required to follow the law, like circumcision, and if we don't we are cursed?

Answer: Paul instructed in Romans 16:17 that believers should take note of those who 'cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned.' It is not the false doctrines per se but the divisions and offenses that are being caused by them. Some men teach error, but they do it sincerely because they do not know the truth. These men can be gently approached and corrected. Other men create contention between believers over their false teachings. This contradicts the doctrine of love. Such men should be avoided.
