Question: How about the term Evangelical? What does it mean?

Answer: The term 'evangelical' is a broad term which is applied to churches of many types. In general, it simply means that these churches take the Bible seriously and believe that people actually need to get saved. For example, I grew up as a child in an Episcopal church, and I do not recall ever being told that I am a sinner in need of salvation. In fact, I never heard that anyone was a sinner in need of salvation. This is not what it means to be evangelical. Evangelical churches are those that believe people are sinners and need to receive salvation through Jesus Christ. They do not all agree on how salvation is obtained. In general, most Evangelical churches tend to hold to conservative values.
