Question: Do you believe that one must have the Holy Ghost and be baptized in Jesus name before living with Jesus in Heaven? If your response to this is yes, Do you feel those who have no knowledge and have not been taught of the Holy Ghost, are those people responsible for what they do not know? Will those people who have lived for Jesus to the best of their ability not make it to heaven because someone did not teach them, are they responsible for something they are not taught?

Answer: Salvation is predicated entirely on hearing and obeying the gospel of Jesus Christ. No one is saved because they do not know what they need to know. And no one is saved by sincerity alone.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 Paul wrote, 'God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.' This passage tells us that salvation depends of the Spirit's sanctification and our knowing and believing the truth. It also says that we are called into the Lord's glory by the gospel.

The gospel, the Spirit, and the truth are essential elements of New Testament salvation. Without them, no one can be saved.
