Building the Glorious Church Conference 2010

THEME: Recovering the Apostles' Doctrine

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Wednesday, October 13
9:00 am to 3:00 pm Overview of Glorious Church concepts.
5:00 pm Gather at meeting place for briefing and transport to a home group.
6:00 to 9:00 pm Everyone attends a home group meeting.

Thursday, October 14
9:00 am to 3:00 pm Introduction on the importance of doctrine, followed by presentations and discussions on two important doctrines where there are diverse views among apostolic people.
7:00 pm Inspirational service.

Friday, October 15
9:00 am to 12:00 pm Discussion on what we have learned so far about establishing an elder-led assembly. Sharing our horror stories.

This conference is open to all like-minded brethren. It will focus on the concepts and themes presented on www.GloriousChurch.com. Conference content will include teaching and discussion on developing a team of biblical elders, developing an effective home group ministry, and what we have learned so far in establishing an elder-led assembly.

The atmosphere of this conference is informal. Attendees are permitted to ask questions and will be invited to participate in discussions. A light lunch will be served on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Everyone planning to attend is asked to notify Bro. Dave Huston by email in advance. This will allow for better planning of food quantities. In addition, each person planning to attend will receive by email a pre-conference contemplative questionnaire.

Carlisle is located in the south central part of Pennsylvania. It is one-half hour from Harrisburg International Airport and two hours from Baltimore-Washington International Airport. It is 45 minutes from Gettysburg and Hershey, 1 hour from Lancaster, and just over 2 hours from Washington DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. There are many motels within a couple of miles of the conference location. We suggest doing a Google search for "motels in Carlisle, PA."

The conference will be held at the meeting place of Carlisle Christian Fellowship, 237 Longs Gap Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013 (see ). Dress is informal. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received.
